Bank of America is giving out a $100 bonus when signing up for a MyAccess Checking Account. Bank of America’s MyAccess Checking account is free checking account with no direct deposit or minimum balance requirements.

To qualify for the checking account promo you need do the following:

follow this link and open an MyAccess Checking Account by 11/30/09
enter the bonus code AOU260909
deposit at least $500 into the account within 30 days of account opening
perform on transaction with your new BOA ATM/Debit Card

The $100 bonus will be paid out within 90 days of openening the checking account. This offer expires on 11/30/2009. Also they say that this is only for new customers, but in the small print it says, “The new customer is not eligible for this offer if they were a signer on a Bank of America checking account that was closed within the last three months”. So it looks like as long as you haven’t closed an account with them in the last 3 months, you should qualify. If you are in this situation, you may want to call them and ask first.

Chase has another $125 Promo going on when you open a Chase Free Checking Account with Direct Deposit. The first direct deposit of $100 must be completed within 60 calendar days of account opening. PNC is offering a $100 bonus when opening up a Personal Checking account with Direct Deposit. The $100 bonus will be paid out 7 days after your first direct deposit. The first direct deposit must be made by 4/30/08.

In the small print it explains what they consider a direct deposit, “The Direct Deposits must be made by an employer or an outside agency. Transfers from one account to another or deposits made at a branch or ATM do not qualify as Direct Deposits.” It is possible that a Paypal transfer will count as a direct deposit, however it has not been confirmed.

Offer expires 1/26/08.

Bank of America is offering $100 when opening a new checking account. You need to open the account with a minimum of $100. The $100 bonus should be received within 90 days of opening the account. Must open by 1/29/08.

You can sign up for this promo in person at a branch or online. You need to use the promo code AOU2612

This is a great deal since Bank of America has branches all over the place, plus it comes with the Keep The Change Program

With Keep the Change, Bank of America rounds up your debit card transactions to the nearest dollar. So if you bought a coffee at Starbucks for $3.10, they would deposit $.90 into your account. I think you can see how this would add up for you over time!

One other item to note about Bank of America is that they have been installing new ATM’s that actaully have scanners so that you can deposit checks and cash at an ATM and have it verified immediately. I never deposit cash into an ATM inside an envelope since you never know what may happen to it. With the new BofA ATM’s, the scanners count the money as you deposit it and it is available in your account right away. This is handy if you deposit lots of cash and can’t make it to a bank during business hours.
