Bank of America has a promo going on their MyAccess Checking Account where you can get $75 when signing up. The MyAccess Checking account is BofA’s free checking account. The nice thing about this account is that there are no direct deposit or minimum balance requirements.

To get the bonus do the following:

• complete the Application Page and open an MyAccess Checking Account
• enter the bonus code CH75TAD
• deposit at least $25 into the account within 30 days of account opening

The $75 bonus will be paid out within 90 days of openening the checking account. This offer expires on 11/30/2008.

$100 From PNC Bank Checking

PNC Bank is having a promotion where you can receive $100 when signing up for one of their Personal Checking Accounts. To get the $100 you must open one of their Personal Checking Accounts and establish direct deposit.

The $100 bonus will be paid within 7 days of your first direct deposit that totals $500 or more. There is no expiration date on this offer, but the small print does read that it can be withdrawn at any time.

PNC’s Free Checking account actually pays ATM owner fees if you keep an average monthly balance of $2000, this is a great deal if you tend to use non bank owned ATM’s and rack up those crazy ATM fees. Personally I don’t not have an account with them, but my parents do and they have had no complaints with PNC as a bank.

ETrade has brought back its $25 bonus for it’s Complete Savings Account. All you need to do is open a
ETrade Complete Savings Account and fund it with at least $1.

HSBC has added a couple of Account Opening Bonuses for their Checking and Savings accounts.

HSBC is offering some new account bonuses.

Get $50 when you open a Premium Money Market Plus Savings Account with a qualifying deposit. To qualify for $50, you must open a Premium Money Market Plus Savings Account with an initial deposit of $1,500 of new money by 7/31/08. Their is a tiered interest rate on this account with the lowest being .20% for balances less than $15,000.

get $25 when you open a Regular Savings Account with a qualifying deposit and sign up for automatic transfer. To qualify for the $25, you must open a Regular Savings Account with an initial deposit of $500 of new money by 7/31/08. The current interest rate on this account is 0.10% for balances greater than $100.

Unless you are putting millions into these accounts (why would you want to), the interest rate is pretty pathetic. Just open these accounts for the bonuses. Not sure why they are promoting these accounts since their Online Savings Account is getting 3.5% APY right now. I guess they are banking on the fact that people don’t know about it.

This promo started on May 31st and there is no expiration date. It just says “for a limited time only”. You will need to go into the branch for this one. Print out the Flyer and take it in with you.

The Totally Free Cheking from TCF is exactly what it sounds like. There are no fees and you don’t even need to set up direct depost either. You can only qualify if you have not had TCF Checking account in the past 90 days.

You need to decide if a Free $50 Gas Card is even worth it. Doesn’t that only get you like 12 gallons of gas these days? I guess free is free though, right?
