Free $25 From ING Electric Orange Checking
August 17, 2008

ING is offering a $25 bonus on their Electric Orange Checking Account.
All you need to do is open an Electric Orange Checking Account with at least $1, activate your Electric Orange Debit Card, and use your Electric Orange Card to make at least 3 signature-based purchases in the first 45 days after your account has been opened.
Your $25 bonus will be automatically deposited into your Electric Orange 50 days after your account has been opened when the 3 purchases have posted.
ING’s Electric Orange Checking account offers higher than average interest rates on your balances. One thing to note is that ING’s Electric Orange Checking account does not have paper checks, the idea is that everything should be done electronically through debit card transactions and electronic bill pay. You can have paper checks sent from ING to people you need to pay, but you don’t actually receive a checkbook.
If you can get by without a paper checkbook, then this account should suit you fine.
If you would like a $25 bonus for ING’s Orange Savings account, check out this post.

Chase is offering a $50 sign up bonus for their Freedom Visa Card after your first purchase.
This card is flexible in the fact that you can switch between cash back and miles whenever you want. So if you are currently getting cash back, but then decided you want to use miles for a vacation, you can switch over to miles, use them for your trip, then switch back to cash back. Also, there is no annual fee with this card.
Here is the earnings breakdown:
- Earn 3% back at gas stations, grocery stores and quick service restaurants
- Earn 1% back everywhere else
Don’t forget that most grocery stores offer gift cards. So you can earn 3% on more than just gas stations, grocery stores and quick service restaurants. For example, the Dominick’s grocery store by me sells Home Depot gift cards, among may others. If I were to use the Chase Freedom Visa at Home Depot I would only receive the 1% back, but if I buy a $100 Home Depot Gift card from the grocery store, I would receive the 3% back. This is another little way to maximize your earnings with this card. Happy Shopping!!
What you need to do: Sign up for the Chase Freedom Visa Card
Obligation: None
Initial Reward (if any): $50 after first purchase
Money to get started: $0
Things to Note: There will be hard credit inquiry applied to your credit report when applying for the card

$100 From PNC Bank Checking
July 9, 2008

PNC Bank is having a promotion where you can receive $100 when signing up for one of their Personal Checking Accounts. To get the $100 you must open one of their Personal Checking Accounts and establish direct deposit.
The $100 bonus will be paid within 7 days of your first direct deposit that totals $500 or more. There is no expiration date on this offer, but the small print does read that it can be withdrawn at any time.
PNC’s Free Checking account actually pays ATM owner fees if you keep an average monthly balance of $2000, this is a great deal if you tend to use non bank owned ATM’s and rack up those crazy ATM fees. Personally I don’t not have an account with them, but my parents do and they have had no complaints with PNC as a bank.
