TradeKing’s is giving out a $100 bonus when opening a new account. Here is the skinny:
- New accounts must be opened and funded with $2,500
- A minimum balance of $1,000 is required in the account for the first six months
- Must Make 1 Trade in your account
- Bonus paid up to 180 days after executed trade
If this is like the last TradeKing Promo, you will see the $100 bonus paid in less than a week after your first trade, rather then the “up to 180 days” There is no expiration date on this so I imagine it could disappear at any time. So jump on this one before it is gone!
I have an account with Tradeking and use it to by indivuidal stocks. It works well since the commissions are only $4.95 per trade. Plus there is an ACH feature to easily move money electronically in and out of your account.
I do long term buy and hold with my ShareBuilder Account, since Sharebuilder makes it very simple to auto invest over time. I wish Tradeking had that option!

Suze Orman is offering a $100 bonus when opening a “Save Yourself Account”.
When you open a Save Yourself account by March 31, 2008, you will receive a $100 bonus for making 12 monthly automatic deposits of at least $50 each. After 12 consecutive months of electronic deposits, TD AMERITRADE will verify that the deposits have been made and add $100 to your account. . There is no minimum top open the accout, but your first $50 must be deposited within 30 days of opening that account.

TDAmeritrade has added an additional offer to current promo (see post) where you can receive free trading for 30 days when opening an account with $2000 or more. They limit the number of free trades to 500, which is a lot. That is over 16 trades a day. They still have the $100 bonuses as well if you deposit over $50,000.

Since ING Direct (Account Bonus) acquired ShareBuilder, I thought you would see the usual $50 new account bonus go away, or at least get smaller. Well that is not the case, they just started a new $50 bonus for new accounts. You do need to invest at least $50. The $50 bonus will be paid out roughly 4 weeks after you have invested $50. Offer expires 3/31/08.
With the market in the crapper, there isn’t a better time to start investing. Get in low and watch it ride high!!

I currently use sharebuilder for my ETF funds. They are purchased every week and I just let it go If you haven’t used sharebuilder, they are great in the fact that you can buy partial shares automatically over time. This is a great way to dollar cost average especially considering the volatility in the market recently. They will automatically take the money out of your account and invest in on a regular basis, it pretty much makes investing easy to do.
