If you are looking to open a new brokerage account and get a free $50 along with it, then don’t forget that the current Tradeking Promotion is scheduled to end at the end of this month.

When you open a new brokerage account with Tradeking, fund the account with $2500 and execute one trade, you will receive a $50 bonus credited to your account. This bonus can be used to purchase more stock or to cover future trading commissions. Since Tradeking only charges $4.95 per trades, that is essentially 10 free stock trades that you can get.

Since the stock market is down from its highs, now is definitely a good time to get in and start investing. A lot of folks tend to shy away from investing when the market is down, but they are also the ones that lose out on the cheap buying opportunities.

$50 Tradeking Promotion – August 2010

Tradeking is once again having it’s annual Tradeking Promo where you can get $50 when opening a brokerage account. To qualify for the promotion you need to do the following:

Open a new brokerage account by August 31st 2010 using the following link –
Fund the account with $2,500 or more within 30 days of account opening
Execute any one trade within 180 days of account opening
NOTE: $2,500 must remain in the account (minus any trading losses) for a minimum of 6 months or the credit may be surrendered

This tradeking bonus ends on August 31st, so be sure to open your account by then! So if you are on the fence about opening an account, getting $50 for free should seal the deal.

For those of you that are not familiar with Tradeking, they offer a flat $4.95 commission on stocks and options. Tradeking was founded in 2005 by the founders of Suretrade.com which was eventually sold to TDAmeritrade. All accounts are SIPC protected, so you can be sure that your money is safe.

I’ve had a Tradeking account since 2006 and use it as my primary trading account. Why spend $10 or more for a stock commission with the other guys when Tradeking offers the same service for half as much! There are no account minimums or inactivity fees. (note that in this special case to qualify for the Tradeking Promotion there is a $2500 minimum to get the free $50 but once the 6 months is up, there is no minimum balance). Some other cool features they offer is an ACH feature where you can move money in and out of your linked checking account. There is also a money market sweep that invests your uninvested money in a money market account that earns interest. They also offer loads of educational material to help you understand the basics of investing with stocks and options in case you are just starting out. I learned how to trade options with Tradeking very quickly using their helpful training tools. You can also send them any paper stock certificates you have to them and they will add them to your account for free. I had to use this feature once with a stock purchase plan I had for a company I worked at. It was a very simple process and I was able to trade those stocks electronically in less than 2 weeks.

$100 OptionsXpress Bonus

One of the more popular brokerage bonuses available out there is the current OptionsXpress promotion where you can get $100 when opening a new account.

To qualify for the bonus, all you need to do is open a new OptionsXpress accountwith a minimum of $500 and make 3 trades within 12 months of opening the account. The $100 bonus will be deposited into your account one month after those requirements are satisfied.

For those of you who are unfamiliar with OptionsXpress, they are a full service discount broker based out of Chicago. They were founded in 2000, so they have 10 years under their belt in terms of experience. They offer a flat commission rate or $14.95 per trade, but it gets cheaper the more trades you do a month.

I have had an account with these guys for a bout 5 years now. I actually learned to trade options by using their Options Education Center. They have great customer service and an easy to use trading interface. I also wrote an OptionsXpress Review last year, so take a look if you want more details on their service. If you are looking for a new broker or just deciding to start trading stocks, you should definitely take a look at their services.

Updated 2010 OptionsHouse Promotions

There are a few new OptionsHouse promotions that were added to their arsenal this week. In addition to their Free 100 trades for 60 days they are now offering investment coaching or free subscriptions to Morningstar OptionsInvestor and StockInvestor Newsletters.

Unlike the Free100 promotion where you need to open an account with at least $3000, to qualify for the free investment coaching or free subscriptions to Morningstar OptionsInvestor and StockInvestor Newsletters you only need to open an account with a minimum of $1000. Both the investment coaching and Morningstar newsletters are separate promotions and are for only 90 days.

If you are a beginning investor, I highly recommend the investment coaching to get you started. Most people try to wing it themselves without any guidance, but free investment coaching is definitely helpful to get you the basics.

If you are a more seasoned investor then the Morningstar OptionsInvestor and StockInvestor Newsletters would probably be a great benefit.

Optionshouse has some of the lowest commisions around with stock trades at $2.95 per trade. Don’t forget that commissions can make up a large chunk of your tradking costs, so keeping them low will increase your returns!!!

Expiring – Tradeking $50 Bonus With New Account

If you still want in on the $50 Tradeking bonus, you must do so by Thursday June 3rd.

Tradeking is giving away a $50 bonus when you open a new brokerage account with them. You must also deposit at least $1000 within 30 days of opening the account and execute one trade within 180 days from the account opening.

The $50 credit is added to your account once the above requirements are completed. And you must keep that $50 in your account for at least 180 days (6 months).

Note the following account types DO NOT count towards this $50 promotion: Traditional IRA, ROTH IRA, Rollover IRA, SEP IRA, Simple IRA, Solo 401K, Coverdell IRA. You must also be a new customer to Tradeking. You will not qualify for the bonus if you already have an account with them based on your home address.

$50 Tradeking Promo – May 2010

There is a new Tradeking Promotion this month where you can get a $50 bonus when opening a new account. This bonus is referral based so you need to receive a referral email from me to qualify for it.:

Open a Tradeking brokerage account by completing the form on the Tradeking Promotions Page or complete the form below with your email address.
Open a new Tradeking account using the link in the email
Deposit at least $1000 into the account and execute 1 trade
Leave the referral money in the account for at least 6 months

Thats it, once the 6 months period is up you can do what you want with the 50 bonus. Not a bad 5% return if you deposit only the requred $1000. Also keep in mind that you can refer others as well once your account is opened. You will receive a $50 referral bonus when you friend opens an account. That friend will receive the $50 as well. There is no limit to how much you can make here.

If I already didn’t have a tradeking account, you bet I would be in on this one!

$100 OptionsXpress Bonus With New Accounts

There is a currennt OptionsXpress Bonus available where you can get $100 when opening a new account.

All you need to do is open a new OptionsXpress account , fund it with a minimum of $500, and make 3 trades within 1 year of the account opening. You also need to keep at least $500 in the account for 6 months. The $100 will then be paid out after those 6 months assuming you have completed the above requirements.

ETRADE Promo – Get 60 Days of Free Trades | Bonus Promotion
