Walgreens Coupon – $10 Credit When Spending $25 Online

May 25, 2010

There is a new Walgreens promotion where you can get a $10 credit after spending $25 at Walgreens.com. There is no expiration on this promotion, but it can be withdrawn at any time.

You must place your $25 order from the Walgreens Promo page. Once your purchase is completed the $10 credit will appear in your account.

Some of the small print of this offer is as follows:

  • You can only use the credit online at Walgreens.com
  • The credit expires in 90 days after it is issues
  • You must use the credit on one purchase, meaning you can’t split it over multiple purchases
  • You can’t apply the credit toward pharmacy or photo orders, gift card purchases, taxes or shipping charges

Overall, this is still a pretty good deal since you are essentially getting 40% of your $25 purchase to use toward another purchase.

$250 Bonus from Chase Sapphire Preferred Card

May 21, 2010

card_ChaseSapphire
If you were thinking about going after the $100 bonus from the Chase Sapphire Card I posted about earlier, you make think twice. Chase has “elite” version of that card which is offering a $250 bonus. The card is called the Chase Sapphire Preferred Card. This card is unique in the fact that you can redeem cash rewards at any increment over $20 dollars. No more waiting to get to that next tier, you can just cash in whenever you want.

This card earns rewards at 1 point per dollar for all purchases, with an added bonus of 2 points per dollar when using the card to purchase airfare through Ultimate Rewards. (See other benefits of the card below)

You will receive 25,000 bonus points after you spend $3,000 in purchases within the first 3 months of receiving the card. Those 25,000 points can be redeemed for $250 cash. If you redeem the points for travel you get a 25% bonus, meaning that you can redeem those 25,000 bonus points for a airline ticket worth $312.50. That pretty much equates to a free flight these days!

One thing to note is that there is an $85 annual fee on this card, but that is waived for the first year. I don’t currently have this card, but am thinking about jumping on board. The travel rewards alone are worth it, but when you throw in a potential $250 bonus, it is hard to resist.

Here are more details about the card:

  • Earn a FREE FLIGHT – that’s 25,000 bonus points after you spend $3,000 in the first 3 months!
  • 2X points earned on all airfare booked through Ultimate Rewards & 1 point for every dollar spent on all other purchases
  • Fly on leading airlines anytime. There are no travel restrictions or blackout dates and points never expire.
  • Points are worth 25% more when you redeem for travel through Ultimate Rewards
  • 7% annual points dividend – earn bonus points on your points
  • 1:1 points transfer to leading airline and hotel programs
  • 24/7 Dedicated expert service advisors (No voice recording)
  • No Annual Fee for your first year – An $85 value
