i think we all could use the money right about now!!! to me i feel that all that is in the gov. office needs to be paid what we are being paid and raise THE WORKING MAN’S salery!!!! hell if it was not 4 little people like us making the stuff then we would not have it. we are the 1’s that do the hard labor jobs. all they are doing is sitting behind a desk and messing the country up. if they want to make the county better, ask us THE AMERICAN PEOPLE what we want.

Well, Id like to include NOT everyone is getting this money examples are that disabled children on ssi are going to see the payment, where children on survivors benifits arent, so they are being particular to who they see capable of stimulating this economy. Work first includes a bonus to what you will recieve back etc etc. So there are a select few going to qualify so ITS not in everyones hands but yet ones not recieving will be paying back for who didnt meet the standard to stimulate the ecomomy. but theyll be paying it back all the same over time. This plan as I see it wont recover a thing, and the stimulus package is extremely flawed.

The money you receive is to go back it to the economy your suppose to get and spend it its not to help the American families out its to help the American government out the goverment has to get straightened out before they can start helping us out

Thanks Kevin, I was starting to think there wasn’t anyone else out there with any common sense or values left.

I’m not sure everyone here understands where the government gets the money it’s spending. It comes from us, each and everyone of us who pays taxes. Cut your income tax Kelly and you have more money in your pocket. The problem now is that there isn’t enough money coming in to pay for all this so what does the government do? Borrow, borrow, borrow… if they can find someone to lend to us. This is a terrible legacy to leave for our children and grandchildren who will be responsible for this enormous debt. And even worse, if they can’t borrow it we’ll probably just start printing more money. When you are paying $10 for a loaf of bread in a year or two be sure to thank everyone you know who voted for Obama. I can’t believe anyone wants to relive the Carter years but that is where we are headed.

Kevin, I am a single mother who works 2 jobs, goes to school FULLTIME and have NOTHING extra to put into the bank. In a few years yeah then I may have a good enough job to do that, but for now I CAN’T. Just because some of you make enough to save some doesnt mean we all do. BE responsible for yourself you say…. HELLO how much more responsible could I POSSIBLY be… I took it personally when you say that. I work and struggle day-to-day.. and if I was hoping that the GOVERNMENT was going to give a bit more to the people who are not lucky enough to have that “great paying job” WELL THEN LET US WISH!
Think the people who would have been eligable for the stimulus were people who WORKED! people who PAY TAXES! come on!!
