All I did was submit the site URL to a view search engines and directories. It seems that from doing that Google has already indexed my sites. People are finding them by searching in Google on exact items and my site is coming back in the search results. 

I use a free website statistics site called StatCounter.com. It shows me the exact URL that brought people to my page and a search keyword if they came from Google, Yahoo, etc.</description>

It is very tempting to have a go in some niche areas that I know about. My only concern would be marketing the website. Do you spend a lot of time on this?
