TMobile is ripping customers off. I purchased the tmobile wing, tzone (web service) $5 plan, and the unlimited home hotspot (my cell calls are free thru my wifi) $20. this worked great for months then both stopped working. after months of troubleshooting TMobile told me that neither plan ever worked with the Wing and that i need the $25 dollar data plan and that the home hotspot required me to buy new TMobile equipment. THIS IS A LIE. I use about 2000 minutes or more each month and I know for a fact that both services were working for months - my minute usage dropped during this period. Without even asking for a refund TMobile wants to refund the monthly fees I paid for over a year and give me a new phone. TMobile is never this determined to give anything. They actually tried to force me to drop the services. I refused because I plan to prove that they sold services that they are now blocking users from in order to make us buy pricey plans

T-Mobile @Home is great, but the router they give you is horrible. I use it so that I can plug in my "land" line phone, but then I plug in a Linksys access point and make sure that every cell phone and laptop in the house uses that network and not the t-mobile one.

I'm changing to TMobile next month when my Verizon contract is up. Want to add the Hotspot wireless service. I have a router for my AT&T DSL service now, can I use the same router (2wire Gateway) and how does it hook up with an existing router?

Craig, check out this post: http://www.budgetcents.net/2008/12/15/cheap-fax-service-review-saveonfaxescom/.

It is a cheap fax service that can help since T-Mobile @home doesn't seem to support faxing.

RE: T-Mobile @ Home
After days of frustration trying to send out faxes and playing around with the fax machine settings, I finally called T-Mobile for support. Well they told me that the Linksys Router they sent me does not support faxing. Nice to tell me NOW! after I spend $50.00 and 2 year contract!
When I had Vonage, I had about an 80% success rate on faxing, which I can live with. 0% just does not cut it.

SO, if you are looking for an IP serivce that also supports faxing, forget T-Mobile@Home for now.

I'm damn in the damn middle of a damn fiasco with damn T-Mobile and my original land line provider, Qwest! Let's just summarize it by trying to coordinate two major corporations' service departments who depend on automated tech support is a real headache! I've been to my cell phone office 3 times and each time takes an hour and each time I have an answer and each time when it come down to actually depending on the job getting done it doesn't get done! Don't do it.

Great post, thans for clearing that up. Other sites say that the HotSpot@Home Talk Forever Home plan still uses your cell phone. I was pretty sure that was false. This looks like a good deal since AT&T is really overpriced.
